Who is Eva Jakovle?

Who is Eve

I am Eva Jakovle, a photographic artist devoted to redefining contemporary equestrian photography through a distinctive visual narrative. I am deeply committed to learning, and I spend much of my free time immersed in study at my favorite library in the MET Museum in Paris. For me, photography is not just about capturing an image—it is about interpreting human emotions through visual storytelling and thoughtful inquiry.

I am currently in transition from being a classical commercial event and portrait photographer to becoming an artist guided by deeper introspection. I explore how each image I take is uniquely shaped by my personal experiences and memories. My photographic style blends artistic sensibility with emotional depth, producing imagery that reaches beyond traditional equestrian portraiture. My work is known for its vibrant palettes, dynamic compositions, and minimalist elegance—each frame carrying poetic clarity and emotional resonance.

Working from my creative base in Chantilly, France, I handle a range of photographic work—from personalized commissions and visual storytelling to collaborations with globally recognized brands like Richard Mille, Engel & Völkers, TotalEnergies, L’Oréal Paris, and Parlanti. I have been especially honored to work closely with prestigious polo clubs and private clients, including the Guerrand-Hermès family, capturing subtle portraits and compelling moments that reflect both equestrian beauty and human emotion.

Beyond my commercial work, I am engaged in photographic research that seeks to understand more than just the surface of an image. I explore how horses affect human brain activity, what lies behind a frozen moment, and how visual imagery influences perception and emotion on a deeper level.

I don’t draw inspiration from specific individuals but rather from the conviction that everything our eyes perceive must be questioned. I am continually drawn to new themes, using my art to investigate philosophical questions, reflect on society, and create visual poetry. My recent work embraces a metamodern sensibility, merging surrealism with documentary honesty, and it reflects my ongoing journey as an evolving and thoughtful voice in photography.
